USING THE TI30X CALCULATOR
The TI30X calculator is one of the best utility calculators available at Wal-Mart, Office Depot, etc... (about $10)
The calculator has a few very useful features that are available upfront without hitting a shift key...
p , EE (for exponent of 10), LOG, 1/x, square root, Yx, etc...
also, it will convert from decimal numbers to scientific by toggling 2nd 4, 2nd 5, 2nd 4 like a light switch.
To enter scientific notation numbers, for instance 4.5 x 107, do the following...
enter keystrokes ..... 4 . 5 EE 7 do not enter x 10...it is included already
If you want to enter a negative power, hit the +/- key before the power of 10.
The COS, SIN, and TAN keys are up front and the inverse of each can be gotten by hitting the 2nd key.
If you want to store a number on the screen in a memory location during a calculation, hit STO and a number.
To recall that number, hit RCL and the number and it will appear during your calculation without stopping.
